Default my eq cycle

Not much traffic around here but figured I'd write a few posts about my current eq cycle b/c I like to talk to myself about myself.

I'm 33 years old, 6'0", 214lbs, 34" waist.

I'm on TRT taking 140mgs a week of test c.

I'm in week 4 of a 12 week 200mgs a week cycle of eq. This is my first eq cycle although I have years of cycle experience, mostly deca/test/dbol. I read the eq profile and have noticed the increase in hunger. That hit in the first week of the cycle. Strength gains have just started this week, minimally. I noticed only marginal gains so far. I expect the next few weeks to bring greater strength gains. I've also only gained a few lbs. I've upped my calories to 3800 a day but I've also been doing daily cardio, 10-15 minutes elliptical, so I think that has stymied my weight gain. I've decreased the cardio in the hopes of adding on some lbs although I will increase it again if I begin to add too much fat.

I've been meaning to monitor my blood pressure but can't find my BP monitor. Muscle pumps are more intense and more frequent, even from doing mundane activities.

I'm not taking any anti-e's or anything like that. I also will not be running PCT b/c I'm on TRT I will not be restarting natty test production.

Just a side note...I ran a 10 week deca cycle over the summer at 200mgs and had nice strength/size gains...I'm eager to compare the eq results to it.

nice, im trying to get myself stable then i have a good base, for the last couple of years, i just went from intensely good to intensely bad! so no point doing anything as 1 min i would be eating clean next minute id be ordering 10 pizzas and ice cream, I am pretty much there now, i just need to get my back sorted out and clean up my gym so i can start using it :)

part of my mo with sorting myself out though was, i was not to diet, just to eat normally, would like to do something similar to you

Interesting you say all that b/c in my experience bb'ers are creatures of the extremes. Either our diets are 100% on point or 100% off point. That's how I am with just about everything in life. I'm doing my best these days to find the middle ground and be "normal" as my wife would say.

I was just telling people last summer how I train for muscle endurance now and size/strength are secondary but once I get a little taste of gaining some size/strength then I want more. I end up taking small steps towards the extreme side of the spectrum and before I know it I'm back into the same extreme mentality I had at the peak of my cycling years ago.

I was doing just fine eating fairly decently every day. I don't know why I have to streamline everything for maximum efficiency. Gotta learn to go with the flow more. I've actually just decided to take a few days off lifting, maybe the week, and my diet. I've been eating 3800 cals per day and its just so much food I'm sick of it already. I'm going to eat less for a little bit and see how that goes.

I eat normally about 2000kals a day! and thats plenty for me, i do not lose weight, or dont seem to, im about 230 ish now, my weight dropped off i was 280 fat, but as i started to eat normally its just levelled off.

I am having some physio for my back and gonna clean up the gym any day, also gonna do my course of alflutop to see if it helps with my back and or shoulder.

When i start with something stable i can move forward gradually, but when im one day eating pizza and next day making a 'decision' to go to gym and get back in shape, it rarely lasts long, like one of the january dieters!

eating normal is no easy task for one of us i guess when we have lived extreme lifestyles, im all or nothing in all areas of my life, it works for some things though, not for others :)

Stopped the eq 2 weeks ago. I was having problems with back (2 herniated discs) and was not working out much. I didn't gain diddly in 5 - 6 weeks I was on. Short time I know but didn't see anything but increase in appetite. My joints were very sore as well.

My plan is to get my joints / back right then start a deca cycle (200mgs/week) end of March, assuming I don't have any business travels by that time.

I still have a bunch of eq laying around and will give it another go but probably at 300 or 400mgs a week.

I've started doing 10 minutes on the elliptical before weights to get some blood into my joints as a warm up. I'm not sure if its the elliptical or the weights bothering my back. Once its feeling better I will try just weights and see what happens. Either way it sucks. I'm not very happy about all this b/c 3 months ago I was fine, lifting aggressively to my heart's content. I don't know why I'm having issues now.

Jd are you doing any self-myofascial release or trigger point therapy?

Have you changed your diet to facilitate recovery? (bumped enzymes, reduced food allergens etc.)

No and no. Time off seemed to heal me up a bit. I'm lifting now but on the light to moderate side, nothing intense. Haven't tried cardio yet either.

Add some enzymes to your diet... Proteolytic enzymes like Bromelain will help.
