Default anyone have any tasty low GI carb / pro recipes?

I am so sick of eating bodybuilding foods. I try to additives for some flavor but my meals are so bland I can't even finish them anymore. The funny thing is I rarely eat anything for taste. I have one cheat meal per week. I have no cravings, no sweet tooth, none of that stuff. But lately everything I eat tastes like cardboard.

Does anyone have any TASTY recipes or suggestions for low GI carb / pro meal?

Maybe I just need a week off of my diet.

JD I find that eating low GI carbs that have an aroma about them are tastier without needing condiments or salt. For example the brown basmati rice is real nutty flavoured, so is quinoa. I mix up 1cup of quinoa with 1/2 cup of non-fat cottage cheese and it is delicious!

I also mix up a couple cans of tuna with brown basmati rice, another nutty flavoured meal that needs no salt.

I have a hard time finding quinoa personally.

Hmmm, I go to the 'Bulk Barn' here in Canada. Not sure what would be the equivalent in the US though. It's a place where you can buy almost anything in bulk, cereal, flour, wheat, rice, etc.

Thanks for the tip. I've been eating brown rice with tuna lately. It was good at first but I wore it out.

Ya it doesn't take long to get tired of the 'bodybuilding' meals does it.

That's exactly my problem. Hopefully with the new book KT so graciously donated to me I can make the necessary adjustments. For now I'm letting my diet slack a bit for the next week. I'm not gonna get totally sloppy with it, but I'm gonna take some liberties with my solid food meals. I'll tell ya, I've thought about living off of shakes alone. I love em'. Taste great, easy to make, easy to clean up, quick to finish, packed with the nutrients and good calories, what's not to like? I've been drinking Pro Lab Lean Mass Complex shakes lately, they're made with low GI carbs so they're not supposed to spike insulin. They're great. I should get out my insulin meter and test they're claims one of these days.

That chili recipe does look tasty. Thanks again for the book. It has a lot of good recipes and a good breakdown of nutritional information. I may make the chili this weekend
