Ok, maybe this is a bit overboard. But I'd like to make sure some of the "whole grain" carbs I've been buying are really not spiking my blood glucose. The best way to find out I think would be to buy a BG monitor, ya know the thing that pricks your finger. I'm trying to get leaner and high insulin only hampers fat loss.
Anyone thought of this or practice it? I'm wondering how much time after I eat to check BG. Maybe I should read up on diabetes. |

I have not but I know Iron Addict does as well as SB AKA Sand Blaster who hangs around IA's board and was co-admin of MMI at some point. It is not a bad idea to be honest. Everyone's body reacts differently to certain things. IA was even saying how whey protein caused his BG levels to rise a ton and had to switch up to egg protein because it helped keep his levels much more stable.
