Meditation.

Oh, did i say that already?

Just because you have insomnia doesn't mean you have an ambien defficiency.

LMAO!!! Ambien is some messed up stuff, really.

If you must go the chemical route, I suggest Melatonin 3mg. It's comparable to a low-dose of ambien, without the nasty sides. Will still leave you drowsy in the morning though - no way around that with sleep aids.

I'd ask Mallet about some meditation and relaxation techniques, personally. That's really your best bet, long term.

I would agree with Whitey that if you must take something i'd go with melatonin as well, 3mg usually does the trick.

nnothing from vitamin shoppe or gnc ever helped me. half dose of ambien or .5mg zanny always works fine. i use them off and on for months now and theres no probs with addiction or needing it to sleep.

on a lighter side ambien is some fun stuff!

Don't take any stimulant past 5pm...eat some turkey on your last meal, pop ZMA, Melatonin 3mg and Benadryl 25mg, wait 15 minutes and masturbate right before going to bed...Works every time!!!

There are some natural remedies
Valerian is a herb that has been long used as a remedy for insomnia.
Melatonin is a popular remedy to help people fall asleep when the sleep/wake cycle has been disturbed, such as in shift workers or people who with jet lag.
